Individual Therapy
Sometimes, life just feels like a lot. But you don’t have to figure it all out on your own. Therapy can offer a safe, compassionate space dedicated entirely to you. It can be incredibly supportive if you are navigating:
Anxiety, overwhelm, or feeling stuck: When your mind feels crowded and you’re tired of just "getting through" the day.
A quiet longing for change: That general sense that something needs to shift, even if you can’t quite find the words for it yet.
Relationship patterns: whether that’s a partner, your family, or the relationship you have with yourself.
Life’s big transitions: Finding your footing through major shifts like new parenthood, separation, or evolving identity changes.
Family & parenting dynamics: Navigating the unique stressors of raising children or managing complex relationships with an ex-partner.
Self-discovery & boundaries: Learning how to kindly but firmly protect your energy, build self-worth, and reconnect with what you truly need.
How I work
I draw on Gestalt psychotherapy - an approach that focuses not just on what you think, but on what you feel and experience in the present moment. Rather than analysing the past from a distance, we work with what's alive right now: patterns, body sensations, emotions, and the stories you carry about yourself.
This is relational, honest, and collaborative work. My role isn't to tell you what to do — it's to help you develop a clearer, more compassionate relationship with yourself, so that meaningful change becomes possible from the inside out.
Teen Counselling (Ages 15+)
Adolescence is one of the most complex seasons of life, and teens are often navigating more than adults realise. I work with young people dealing with:
Anxiety, stress, or emotional overwhelm
School pressure and academic challenges
Social difficulties, friendship conflict, or loneliness
Questions of identity and belonging
Low self-esteem or confidence
Big feelings they don't quite have words for yet
How I work
Supporting young people requires a particular kind of attention, and a willingness to meet them where they are.
Drawing on four years working with teens in educational settings, I bring a trauma-informed, neuro-affirming approach. I don't push, pathologise, or project. I listen, with genuine curiosity about who this young person is and what they actually need.
Many teens who are reluctant to see a therapist find that sessions feel more like a good conversation than anything clinical. That's intentional.
I work closely with parents and caregivers where appropriate while maintaining confidentiality, to make sure the support feels consistent and held, without removing the teen's sense of ownership over the process.
I see clients from Kingscliff, Pottsville, Cabarita, Bogangar, Byron Bay and all Northern Rivers suburbs at Coastal Therapies - Cabarita and Thrive Clinic - Mullumbimby.
